The Norwich Sea Unicorns today have announced the annual Military Appreciation Night, to be help on Friday, May 31 when the New Britain Bees visit Dodd Stadium for a 6:30pm game. All current and former military personnel can purchase a $8 ticket that includes a hot dog, bottle of water and bag of chips and enjoy Sea Unicorns baseball and postgame fireworks presented by Liberty Bank.

The Sea Unicorns will not be wearing specially designed jerseys for this year’s Military Appreciation Night game, but will continue to honor our Armed Forces with the special ticket price!

Today the Norwich Sea Unicorns have announced the annual First Responder Night for Friday, July 12th for the 6:30pm game against the Road Warriors. Once again partnering with Hartford Healthcare’s Backus and Windham Hospitals, the Sea Unicorns will offer discounted tickets for all first responders. The $8 reserved ticket will include a hot dog, bottle of water and bag of chips and can be purchased by visiting or calling the Dodd Stadium ticket office during normal business hours (Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm). Following the game there will be a spectacular post game fireworks show presented by Liberty Bank.

The Sea Unicorns are thankful for the First Responders and the work they perform to keep the community safe!

The Norwich Sea Unicorns will once again provide pre-game entertainment each Saturday home game during the 2024 season. The Sea Unicorns have once again partnered with Yale New Haven Health and L & M Hospital to provide the entertainment for our great fans. The Sea Unicorns will open the gates an hour earlier than normal (4:30pm) so that fans can come into the ballpark and enjoy music at the Hole In the Wall Bar on the first base concourse.

Today the Norwich Sea Unicorns have announced the always popular Thirty Thursday promotion for 2024!  This summer the Sea Unicorns will have five home games on Thursday’s (6/6; 6/13; 7/11; 7/18; 8/1) that will feature beer specials from The Famous Narragansett Beer Company. Those specials will be released in the coming weeks.

A new addition to Thirsty Thursday’s this summer will be Trivia Nights, which will be held at the BBQ Pavilion on the left field side of Dodd Stadium. The Sea Unicorns are looking into potential Trivia Nights on Thursday’s when the team is on the road as well. Stay tuned to the Sea Unicorns social media pages and website for further details!

It is an annual summer tradition, and this year it will be held on Wednesday, July 17th. The Norwich Sea Unicorns have announced the annual Camp Day game against the New Britain Bees with a special start time of 11:00am. Each year the Sea Unicorns invite the local Summer Camps to attend a morning game and cheer the home team on and all attendees from the summer camps receive a special discounted ticket that also provides them with a hot dog, bag of chips and a bottle of water.

Today the Norwich Sea Unicorns have announced details for the 2024 Sunday Funday games at Dodd Stadium. This summer, the Sea Unicorns will play 5 home games on Sunday’s (May 26, June 9, July 7, July 14, July 28), all starting at 4pm.

Following each Sunday home game, the real FUN begins as all children 12 & under are welcome to join us on the field to RUN the BASES one time and then have a CATCH in the OUTFIELD with their families for 15 minutes. It is also possible that many of the Sea Unicorns players will stick around to join in the activities.

Sunday Funday is also our First Mate’s Club Day. The First Mate’s Club is sponsored by K & H Equipment of Plainfield and represents an opportunity for children 12 & under to be a member of an exclusive club that receives a game ticket to each of the Sunday home games, a t-shirt, a credential to wear and show off the cool status of being a member, as well as access to a season ending ice cream social on Sunday, July 28th. The Norwich Sea Unicorns, in an effort to showcase Dodd Stadium for its 30th season, have announced plans for a Disc Golf season in 2024. For one Sunday a month from April through October, the field and concourse at Dodd Stadium will transform into a nine hole Disc Golf Course. Players will take two turns through the nine holes to complete an 18 hole round.

The seven dates expected to be used for Disc Golf will be April 21, May 19, June 23, July 21, August 18, September 22 and October 20. Tee times will be 10am for up to 36-44 disc golfers. Should registration levels go beyond that number, additional tee times will be considered.

“Dodd Stadium has always been available for more than just baseball. In its near 30 year history, there have been many other events such as concerts, professional wrestling, soccer, wedding ceremonies and so much more,” said Sea Unicorns General Manager Lee Walter, Jr. “Other stadiums have hosted Disc Golf before and it was presented as an outside the box idea to me for this coming year. Our new Business Development Manager KC Collins has been instrumental in spearheading this project and is doing a great job with it. I am excited to see how it performs throughout the year!”
