SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
The Norwich Sea Unicorns, a member of the Futures Collegiate Baseball League, are currently seeking interns for the 2024 baseball season. The internship will start in mid-May and conclude in mid-August. This unique internship experience will cover all aspects of Baseball and Front Office Operations for a Summer Collegiate Baseball organization. Candidates will gain valuable hands-on experience in a professional baseball setting, while at the same time having a ton of fun! In addition, the Sea Unicorns will provide valuable additional experiences including (but not limited to): guest speakers, trips to observe best practices in other markets, classroom training sessions, and more!
About The Sea Unicorns: The Norwich Sea Unicorns are a Summer Collegiate Baseball Club and are a member of the prestigious Futures Collegiate Baseball League and play a 62 game schedule (31 home games, 31 away games). The Sea Unicorns provide affordable family entertainment for fans throughout southeastern Connecticut. 2024 will mark the fourth season (13th overall for the organization) for the Norwich Sea Unicorns at Dodd Stadium in Norwich, Connecticut. The Sea Unicorns are seeking intern candidates that will help to continue the growth of the organization both in the stadium and in the community. Prior to the season, the Sea Unicorns will also host the Eastern Connecticut Conference Baseball Championships to be played at Dodd Stadium, providing the interns with plenty of hours to hone their craft.

Hours/Dates: Sea Unicorns 2024 Internship positions will start on or about May 15, 2024 and finish on or about August 15, 2024. Interns will average about 30 hours per week based on the Sea Unicorns game schedule each week. Interns will have the opportunity to work during the other events hosted by Dodd Stadium in addition to Norwich Sea Unicorns games during this time period.
Program Overview: Interns are treated as an extension of the front office. They will be able to learn all aspects of Summer Collegiate/Professional Baseball, while working closely with the front office staff in the following areas:
- Public/Community Relations
- Marketing & Promotions
- Ticket Operations & Sales
- Food & Beverage Operations
- Merchandise/Retail
- Media Relations/Internet Stream
- Stadium Operations & Turf Management
- Other areas as desired to fit your needs!
Qualifications/Requirements:
- A desire to explore a career in the sports industry
- The drive to make this internship your TOP priority during the summer.
- Interns MUST be available to work for the duration of the internship program.
- The ability to work as part of a team
- Strong customer service skills
