Due to unfortunate weather issues that hit the Norwich area overnight and a forecast that was iffy at best, the decision was made to postpone tonight’s scheduled home opener against the Nashua Silver Knights. The Sea Unicorns will make their first Dodd Stadium appearance tomorrow, Sunday June 1st with a 1pm game against the Westfield Starfires in a rematch of last season’s Championship Series.
Tickets from tonight’s game may be redeemed for tickets to any other regular season game this season. We do encourage those that purchased Pi Day tickets to try to use them on Sunday, June 1 or Saturday, June 7 if possible.
The magnet schedule, branded by the CT Dept of Transportation will now be provided to fans prior to the game on Sunday, June 1st. The fireworks presented by Liberty Bank scheduled for tonight will now follow the game on Saturday, June 7th. That game begins at 6:30pm against the Worcester Bravehearts. The Sea Unicorns will also debut the “Norwich Connect” jerseys presented by Dime Bank during this same game.
The autograph book giveaway originally scheduled for Sunday, June 1st will now be moved to Sunday, June 22nd when the Sea Unicorns host the New Britain Bees at 1pm. The first 250 children entering the gates that day will receive the autograph books presented by Spicer Propane.
The game against Nashua from this evening will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Thursday, June 12th. This will be a single admission doubleheader consisting of 2 7-inning games. Game 1 will begin at 5pm (gates will open at 4pm) and game 2 will begin approximately 30 minutes after the first game concludes. Thursday, June 12th will also feature a Disney theme at the Hole In the Wall Beer Garden where fans will have an opportunity to learn more information about travelling to Disney from agents with HMS Travel Consulting.
