Sea Unicorns begin three-peat quest on road; home opener set for May 31

NORWICH, CT- The Norwich Sea Unicorns, in conjunction with the Futures League, unveiled the 2025 schedule today. The Sea Unicorns will open defense of their Back2Back Championships in Westfield, MA on Wednesday, May 28th as they take on the Westfield Starfires. Opening Night at Dodd Stadium will take place Saturday, May 31st, when the Sea Unicorns host the Nashua Silver Knights. The home opener will begin at 6:30 pm with tentative plans for live music before the game and fireworks after the game.

 

The 2025 schedule features a total of 62 games, with 31 games played at Dodd Stadium. The home schedule features three games on Tuesdays, five on Wednesdays, seven on Thursdays, five on Fridays, six on Saturdays and five on Sundays. Game times will be 6:30 pm for all games Tuesday-Saturday and a brand new 1:00pm start time on Sundays. There will be two exceptions to these times as the Sea Unicorns will play at 11:00am on Wednesday, June 4th for a special Education Day game and the annual Camp Day game on Wednesday, July 16th.

Founded in 2011, the Futures League is a wood-bat league featuring top collegiate baseball players from New England and throughout the country. Nearly three million fans have attended Futures League games since the league was established. On the field, more than 250 league alumni have been drafted by or signed with Major League Baseball organizations, including 18 who have already debuted at the highest level.
