Internship Program

SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

The Norwich Sea Unicorns, Back to Back (2023/2024) Champions of the Futures League, are currently seeking interns for the 2025 baseball season. The internship will start in mid-May and conclude in mid-August. This unique internship experience will cover all aspects of Baseball and Front Office Operations for a Summer Collegiate Baseball organization. Candidates will gain valuable hands-on experience in a professional baseball setting, while at the same time having a ton of fun!

About The Sea Unicorns: The Norwich Sea Unicorns are a Summer Collegiate Baseball Club and are part of the prestigious Futures League and play a 62 game schedule (31 home games, 31 away games). The Sea Unicorns provide affordable family entertainment for fans throughout southeastern Connecticut. 2025 will mark the fifth season (14th overall for the organization) for the Norwich Sea Unicorns at Dodd Stadium in Norwich, Connecticut. The Sea Unicorns are seeking intern candidates that will help to continue the growth of the organization both in the stadium and in the community. In addition to Norwich Sea Unicorns games, interns will have the opportunity to assist with the Eastern Connecticut Conference High School Baseball Championships.

We strive to be an integral part of the community by offering the most fan friendly and affordable family entertainment in the region.

Hours/Dates: Sea Unicorns 2025 Internship positions will start on or about May 15, 2025 and finish on or about August 15, 2025. Interns will average about 30 hours per week based on the Sea Unicorns game schedule each week. Interns will have the opportunity to work during the Eastern Connecticut Conference Baseball Championships during this time frame.

Program Overview: Interns are treated as an extension of the front office. They will be able to learn all aspects of Summer Collegiate/Professional Baseball, while working closely with the front office staff in the following areas:

  • Public/Community Relations
  • Marketing & Promotions
  • Ticket Operations & Sales
  • Food & Beverage Operations
  • Merchandise/Retail
  • Media Relations/Internet Stream
  • Stadium Operations & Turf Management
  • Other areas as desired to fit your needs!

Program Details: The Sea Unicorns Internship Program provides a stipend for the summer as well as an opportunity to earn school credit working on a Group Sales Project To Be Determined. Any sales that an Intern completes during their time with the Sea Unicorns also can earn commission on the sales if all items of the sale process are completed.

  • Interns MUST be available to work for the duration of the internship program.
