The ball was flying and the strikes were dotting as the Sea Unicorns dominated the Nashua Silver Knights 8-0.
After a shaky start to the season, the pitching staff dialed in for 14 strikeouts while surrendering all but three hits.
Making his debut for Norwich was Clark Gilmore from Dartmouth who was spot-on through four innings as he held the Silver Knights hitless. His final line included seven strikeouts and allowed just one walk.
In relief was Pat Sawyer who would go onto hurl five innings of three-hit ball, also striking out seven.
On offense, DJ Perron continued his dominance at the plate as he went two-for-three including a home run, the first Sea Unicorn slam of the year. His efforts at the dish honored him with the Futures League Player of the Night.
Johnny Knox and Logan Meusy also had multi-hit games and just about the entire offense got in on the action.
CJ Egrie continues to give opposing catchers problems once he gets on base as he stole his eighth and ninth base of the early season.
Norwich now moves to two and three on the year, gaining much needed momentum as they return to the Rose City for the first time this season.
