SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

The Norwich Sea Unicorns, Back to Back to Back (2023/2024/2025) Champions of the Futures League, are currently seeking interns for the 2026 baseball season. The internship will start in mid-May and conclude in mid-August. This unique internship experience will cover all aspects of Baseball and Front Office Operations for a Summer Collegiate Baseball organization. Candidates will gain valuable hands-on experience in a professional baseball setting, while at the same time having a ton of fun!

About The Sea Unicorns: The Norwich Sea Unicorns are a Summer Collegiate Baseball Club and are part of the prestigious Futures League and play a 62 game schedule (31 home games, 31 away games). The Sea Unicorns provide affordable family entertainment for fans throughout southeastern Connecticut. 2026 will mark the sixth season (15th overall for the organization) for the Norwich Sea Unicorns at Dodd Stadium in Norwich, Connecticut. The Sea Unicorns are seeking intern candidates that will help to continue the growth of the organization both in the stadium and in the community. In addition to Norwich Sea Unicorns games, interns will have the opportunity to assist with the Eastern Connecticut Conference High School Baseball Championships.

Hours/Dates: Sea Unicorns 2026 Internship positions will start on or about May 15, 2026 and finish on or about August 15, 2026 (based on the league schedule). Interns will average about 5.5 hours per game day, with the potential for other opportunities, such as the Eastern Connecticut Conference Baseball Championships during this time frame.

Program Overview: Interns are treated as an extension of the front office. They will be able to learn all aspects of Summer Collegiate/Professional Baseball, while working closely with the front office staff in the following areas:

  • Public/Community Relations
  • Marketing & Promotions
  • Ticket Operations & Sales
  • Food & Beverage Operations
  • Merchandise/Retail
  • Media Relations/Internet Stream
  • Stadium Operations & Turf Management
  • Other areas as desired to fit your needs!

Program Details: The Sea Unicorns Internship Program provides a per diem per game worked, as well as an opportunity to earn school credit working on a Group Sales Project To Be Determined. Any sales that an Intern completes during their time with the Sea Unicorns also can earn commission on the sales if all items of the sale process are completed.

Concessions Manager

The Norwich Sea Unicorns are seeking qualified applicants for the position of Concessions Manager for the 2026 season. This position will be a seasonal position to start, with the potential for a full time position. The ideal start date for the position will be April 1. Duties to include, but not be limited to:

  • Setting concessions menu in conjunction with Assistant General Manager
  • Assisting in cleaning and set up of all concessions spaces to ensure Health Certification prior to opening for the season
  • Assisting in inventory control, including ordering, receiving, storing and inventory of all concessions items
  • Assisting in hiring, training and scheduling of staff to fill all concession areas appropriately throughout the season
  • Managing the day to day concessions operation throughout the season, including food and beverage storage, stocking of concessions areas, preparation of products, cleaning of all concession areas
  • End of season cleaning and shut down of all concession areas

Game Day Staff

The Norwich Sea Unicorns are seeking Game Day employees in all departments for the 2026 season. In addition to Sea Unicorns games, Game Day employees may be asked to work other events held at Dodd Stadium during the summer. On rare occasions, Game Day Staff may be asked to work other events held at Dodd Stadium outside of the summer window.</p> <p>The following departments are available options for Game Day Staff:

  • Concessions
  • Bartenders
  • Suite Servers
  • Merchandise Store
  • Box Office Attendants
  • Parking Attendants
  • Ushers
  • Press Box (Music Director, Video Board Operator, On Field Emcee, etc.)
  • Field Maintenance/Grounds Crew
  • Stadium Maintenance/Cleaning Crew
